Saturday 11/30/2013 , First Ice Kite Session.
Harry gave me a call about noon saying there is black ice thick enough to hold weight at the South River Road DNR launch site. He's been out on his 3 meter 2 line trainer kite and hockey skates for an hour. During a break he gave me a call to join in.
I was instantly there and by 1:00 I was on the ice with a 3 meter 2 line trainer kite and my hockey skates definitely bare bones in gear.
We had a blast sprinting around taking short tacks due to small safe ice area. Definitely a Slicesport with sharp skate blades a necessity.
Had fun in this being my first ever ice skate/kite session.
